What's happening at convent

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has given US$30 000 to the Zimbabwe's National High School Moot team, comprising of seven students from the Dominican Convent Harare, two from Midlands Christian College, one from Arundel and another student from Peterhouse. The team is set to represent the country at the Moot Court Europe competition in Romania. The moot team recently made history and raised the country's flag high after being crowned champions of the world at the International Moot Court competitions. Courtesy of ZBC News Online
Our volleyball ladies won a silver medal at the St Georges Volleyball tournament, having won against Eaglesvale, Riverdale, Rusununguko, Westridge and Hermann Gmeiner. They unfortunately lost to Msengezi in the finals, having fought really hard. A big congratulations to the team for bringing home Silver.
Two of our form four ladies, Avril Mukanyangi and Rufaro Matanhire, entered the Westridge Graphics and Coding Challenge and came first out of three schools, beating St John's College and Westridge High School. They both got medals and certificates for the intermediary level. The judges present were: Dr Eng Zvarevashe, the Chairperson in the department of analytics & Informatics at UZ Addlight Mukwazhure, a Lecturer at UZ and Dr Takavarasha, the Dean of faculty of management and entrepreneurial sciences and lecturer of Information Systems at Women’s university Well done to the ladies and the Computer Science class.
