Congratulations to our Alumna - Kirsty Coventry

In a momentous achievement for both Zimbabwe and the world of sports, Olympic gold medalist, Kirsty Coventry, has been elected as the new president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Her historic election marks a new chapter in her illustrious career and brings pride not only to her country, but also to the Dominican Convent, the school that helped shape her athletic journey.
Dominican Convent is celebrating her success with great pride. The school’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering excellence in sports has been evident in Coventry’s remarkable achievements, and her rise to the presidency of the IOC serves as an inspiration to current students, especially those in the school's swimming program. Coventry’s story continues to inspire young swimmers at Dominican Convent, where the sport continues to grow and thrive, with increasing participation and a focus on developing future champions.
